Dave and Maise came to Christ in 1992 out of a life of gangs and drug addiction. After the second time of attending church with her mother-in- law, Maise convinced her husband to go with her to a mid-week revival at Colton First Assembly of God. Reluctantly and full of skepticism Dave decided to go and while sitting way in the back of the church God began to use the preacher to tell Pastor Dave about the grace, mercy and hope that Christ offers and it was on that night that he and Maise both gave their lives to the Lord. In 1995 at their home church in Colton the Lord called Dave and Maise into ministry as youth pastors.

In Nov. 2004 Pastor Dave and Maise took a full time position as youth pastors at SBCC and in 2007 they took the position of associate pastors which led to them becoming lead Pastors in 2012. They have 5 adult children and their daughter DeeDee is the worship pastor. Maise is a Pacific islander, born on the Island of Samoa and raised in the tough inner city of SouthCentral L.A. Her outgoing personality and a love for life is evident in everything she does. Dave is born and raised in San Bernardino and believes that God has not only called him to pastor a church in his home town but to pastor the community that he was raised in. They look forward to seeing God transform the city through SBCC.
